Probably almost half of the volume of the camera is a gigantic heat sink and fan blowing up from the bottom through the middle of the camera. I've never had any heat issues at all and run and gun pretty frequently with it. If I want it to look absolutely perfect in a low key environment I sometimes overexpose about a stop, but it's very rare that I find that necessary. It's extremely subtle noise at 800 in good light and can very easily be eliminated with Temporal NR in Resolve. Anyone complaining of noise at 800 is either underexposing or pixel peeping to a pretty ridiculous degree. It's far better on a shoulder rig than the Pockets due to weight balance, physical controls, and the fact that the camera tends to get long rather than wide or tall when rigging accessories. It's a very solid feeling camera and a bit on the heavy side but not unreasonable. u/shickey maintains a videography-themed weekly challenge subreddit, so if you're looking for something to shoot head on over to /r/DoCreativeĬamera, NLE, year started, general location Requests for feedback or comments must be posted in the monthly ‘I Made This/Feedback’ threadĪ full copy of the rules can be read here.Use of affiliate links must be disclosed in post.Links posted must relate directly to videography. If you're looking for professional-only discussion, give /r/videoprofessionals a shot! r/videography is a subreddit intended for all skill levels, from beginners all the way through to professionals to come together to discuss the trade.
